My 1st Birthday Party

This past Saturday, we celebrated my 1st birthday. I didn't have too many of my puppy friends who could attend but most of my humans could be there and I loved having them over to celebrate with me.

A few weeks ago, my Mom sent out these cool invitations to let everyone know about the party.

And before I knew it, party day was here! I woke my parents up extra early because I couldn't wait to get the day started. I spent most of the morning by the door waiting for everyone to arrive.

First, there was a lot of to do to get ready. 

  

I did my best to try to help put up my banner.

  

There was lots of yummy food to make including a hot dog bar with lots of delicious toppings.

  

We even had treats for everyone to take home to my puppy friends who couldn't make it.

Eventually I was ready for the set up to be done and the party to start!

And just when I was tired of getting ready...my puppy friend, Whiskey, showed up!

  

We played and let our Moms finish getting ready and then we each took a little power nap.

Then, it was time to party! I got dressed in my birthday tie and was ready to greet all of my guests.

It was so exciting to have all of my people in one place to help me celebrate!

My Godparents came to help me celebrate!

Mom and Dad snapped a picture with me, too!

Gigi helped Mom put everything together and snuggled me when I was tired of all the partying.

Aunt Kori came, too!

After everyone enjoyed eating and socializing, it was time for cake. 

The best part of the party, if you ask me. 

I had my very own party hat and homemade cake.
The party hat was just alright but the cake on the other hand was delicious!

 

After cake, it was time to open my presents. 

Everyone was so nice to think of me on my birthday!

  

Who says you can't have cake and a cookie?!

 After presents, everyone hung out for awhile and I got to work playing with my toys (and possibly taking another power nap)

Birthdays are fun but boy are they tiring.

It was quite a great party and birthday weekend. Thank you everyone for helping me celebrate! I can't wait to see what this year brings.
