First of all, Happy Memorial Day!!
Thank you to all our Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, Airman, and Coast Guardsmen!
We celebrate your service, honor, strength and sacrifice today and every day.
And with Memorial Day here it means...
Summertime is upon us!
I was so excited to sit down with Mom this weekend and come up with our Summer Bucket List.
We decided on 16 things to try to accomplish over the next few months.
I'll update my progress as I cross these adventures off the list one by one!
1. Swim
So, I have never been swimming (yet).
I'm thinking we may need to start with a baby pool and see how that goes.
I don't mind the bath tub but it's definitely not my favorite!
2. Walk the Trail
This just makes me want to go for a walk right now.
I can't wait to explore the trails around us this Summer!
3. Homemade Treats
I love treats.
Mom and I want to take a try at making some homemade creations of our own!
4. Sightsee
I like to visit tons of places but haven't really seen top many sights in our own city, Philadelphia.
I could use a little sightseeing and walk around the city!
5. Date Night
There are a bunch of restaurants in our little town that let dogs dine with their humans.
I hope Mom and Dad will let me tag along on a date night this Summer!
Ps. That photo looks like me and Dad after a good meal!

6. Dog Park
We have a local dog park and I can't wait to visit a lot and meet new friends!
7. Boat Races
This kind of goes alone with visiting the city--but I can't wait to see Boathouse row and watch a race.
It will be a great outdoor activity for me, Mom and Dad!
8. Learn A New Trick
It's time to add more tricks to my repertoire.
Which one should I learn?
9. Have a Fire
We have a fire pit outside and I'm dying to see a big fire.
I'll have to be careful though and snuggle up with Mom and Dad while they roast some s'mores.
10. Walk/Run a 5K
I get to run with Mom in the mornings sometimes.
I'm excited to set a goal of doing a race in the near future, even if I have to walk a little.
So while Mom trains for her first marathon, I'll help her on short run days while training for my little race.
We just have to find one that allows puppy friends to join!
11. Play Frisbee
Mom and I just bought a frisbee and I can't wait to try it out.
I love playing catch with my tennis ball so I'm excited to see how I do with the frisbee.
12. Annual Vet Visit
I have to go see the Vet for my annual check up in July.
Wish me luck!
13. Get Pampered
Mom and Dad normally give me routine baths-
but every now and then I go for a full bath, nail trimming, teeth brushing, ear cleaning adventure.
I'll definitely need to schedule one over the next few months.
14. Help Mom Organize a Charity Walk
Mom already started planning for the Rescue Run 5K.
Her work will be running it in early October.
I'm excited to come watch with Dad and help Mom design t-shirts.
15. Visit a Street Festival
This is a picture of my little town.
We are going to look for a fun street festival that I could tag along with Mom and Dad to this summer!
16. Play with my Friends
I can't wait to play with all of my human and puppy friends!
The more playtime, the better!
Phew, we have a busy summer ahead of us but it is going to be a fun one!
What do you have planned for the Summer?!

We will announce the winner tomorrow!!
Happy Memorial Day Moose and Mooses's humans. You have quite the bucket list there, Moose. It does sound like a lot of fun. Ann has her annual senior vet exam in late June. Keep me posted about the Rescue run; I might buy a t-shirt although you would need to "paw"to graph it and mail it to California. I have a great "pup cake" recipe that contains carrots and cheese; if you give me your email I will send it to you. It contains wheat and milk so I hope you don't have allergies. And learning tricks is fun; your humans will love watching you perform for them.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day Moose!
Hi Laurie!! I hope you had a great long weekend! I would love to pawtograph a shirt and send it to you once we have them designed and ready to go :) That pup cake recipe sounds delicious! My email is adventureswithmooseman@gmail.com I'll definitely have Mom make it!
DeleteEnjoy your week!! Tell Ann hello from me!
That sounds like fun Moose! Me and Chasey will have to make a summer bucket list! We want to go to Wissahickon Trails because we see a lot of moms post their pups having fun there! You might even be able to check off swimming there too :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds fun!! I'll have to make my Mom take me there! :)
