Moose Monday: Easy, Quick, & Fun Dog Treat Recipe

Happy Monday!

It's recipe time here on the blog and today we are making up something super quick and easy but still fun (and yummy)!

Zoo Friends Animal Dog Biscuits are What's Cooking today!

These treats just take 2 ingredients and you can make them in any shape and size you'd like!

We went with the Zoo Animal theme but you could use any cookie cutters you have.

See below for the full list of ingredients and instructions but here are some step by step instructions with pictures to follow along to...

Mix your selected baby food together with 1 cup of whole wheat flour

Once it forms a dough consistency, grab your rolling pin and roll out the dough to your desired thickness

Using your favorite cookie cutters, cut as many cookies as you can

Once cut, place the cut shapes onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet

Pop in the oven for about 20 minutes
After 20 minutes, turn it off (with the biscuits still in there), and let the oven completely cool.

Remove and enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

4oz Jar of baby food (and fruit, vegetable or meat that is safe for us pups to eat)
1 cup Whole Wheat Flour

You can double or triple this recipe-- we doubled it and made about 15-20 treats!

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. Mix baby food and whole wheat flour until it forms a dough
  4. Grab your rolling pin and roll out the dough to your desired thickness
  5. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutters you would like to use
  6. Place on the baking sheet
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes--keep an eye on them depending on the thickness
  8. Turn off the oven and keep the biscuits in there until the oven is completely cool
  9. Once cooled, remove from oven and let your pup enjoy!
  10. Store leftovers at room temperature for enjoyment for days to come!

Now go grab your human and head to the kitchen to get cooking!

  1. Hi Moose and family! Hope you had a great weekend! These look great! If Ann could read (and she possibly can but won't tell me), she'd probably herd or drag me to the kitchen to make these treats! We have these ingredients on hand. (We keep a jar or two of baby food available for those just in case moments.) Look forward to trying these!

    Have a great week!
