Friday Favorites: Trip to Hoboken Addition

Happy Friday!!

Phew, it's been a long week
I'm so happy it's the weekend!!

Last weekend we traveled to visit Uncle Foley in Hoboken
Roadtrips are always a favorite, but in this case I just couldn't wait to get there to see one of my favorite uncles!

When we were almost there, I got a view of one of Mom and Dad's favorite cities- the Big Apple

While we were visiting, we did a lot of fun activities!
Went for some walks, my favorite

Saw sand for the first time (even if it was just a little)
I think we need to make playing in the sand a Summer Bucket List activity this year

Took a look at this pretty city from across the river

Spent time with these favorite people

And of course took some amazing naps

Sunday consisted of favorite relaxing activities including guarding the door

and Uncle Foley's favorite activity, playing video games

Before I knew it, it was time to head home
Thank you for having us Uncle Foley!!
We had a great time!

The rest of the week I spent keeping a look out with some fur from my favorite toy as a beard

Snuggling up on Mom's lap with my favorite moose toy (that kind of makes it looks like I have antlers)

And what's a long week without a little sass from the Mooseman

Don't worry I make up for the sassy days, with these puppy dog eyes

That's a wrap!
Have a great weekend, hopefully doing some of your favorite things :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!!

We've been finding a lot of favorite items for you this week!

First, we celebrated Valentine's Day last weekend which involved spending some quality time with two of my favorite humans
We made Dad his favorite breakfast in bed
Served with some favorite beagle napkins (thank you Aunt Kori) and note my Mom's Moose slippers, another favorite!

Dad and I planned a surprise for Mom to arrive later that morning but really I fell in love with the treats and just wanted them for myself
Look how good they look...I just wanted a little taste

Since there was chocolate on them, Mom couldn't share so instead Mom and Dad gave me a new favorite toy and I was pleased

We snuggled up in bed for most of the day because well, it was freezing outside!
And even when Mom and Dad left to go to dinner, I stayed put in my warm and favorite sleeping spot

The rest of the week flew by...
we ran some late night errands together
I love when I get to tag along and car rides are always a favorite

We played some tug of war

I took a few favorite selfies

And we spotted a few things online that we thought would be favorites of all of you, too!
First, this cute snowman
I think I could pose for this if we get another big snow

Second, we spotted this list on Barkpost of Dogs that would survive the apocalypse and guess what?!
14 Dog Breeds Most Likely To Survive The Apocalypse
Beagles made the list as #12!

Last but not least, we're headed to Hoboken this week to visit Uncle Foley and I can't wait!
Road trips are the best and a top favorite for sure
I keep inquiring when we are leaving...
I'm ready when you are humans

Mom, now?

Let's go!!!!

I'll fill you in on the adventures on my Instagram and when we return here on the Blog!

Have a great weekend!!

Moose Monday: Tips for a Safe Winter with your Furry Friend

Happy Moose Monday!!

I hope you all had a great weekend!
It's been really cold around here with snow flurries just about daily so I thought we could talk about some Dog-Friendly tips for this freezing weather!

PROTECT OUR PAWS

The winter can be harsh on our paws so it is important to protect them!

Awhile back we talked about The Natural Dog Company's Pawtector and Pawsoother

These are the best during the winter months
We try to apply them nightly

Booties are another pup favorite to protect against the harsh weather and salt on the sidewalks during long walks. While Mom and Dad have tried to make me wear a pair- I'm not a fan and will kick them off immediately
We have tried a pair similar to these and they were great quality
Ultra Paws Pawtector Dog Boots
Our only issue was the stubborn pup who was supposed to wear them ;)

WATCH FOR CHEMICALS

This goes along with protecting our paws because on walks there are tons of harsh chemicals on the ground in the wintertime

If you are using Ice Melter/Salt at your home, you should definitely be using one that is 100% safe for Pups and the environment in general

Safe Paw is the one we recommend and can be bought online or in most Pet Stores

Even though this is the best solution, chances are the sidewalks will still have salt all over them this time of year which can be harmful to our paws and our digestion system if we lick our paws when we come in from outside

It is important to be aware of this and wash our paws after every walk!

KEEPING US WARM

We do get cold in the winter weather, I know that in the past my humans have had to limit my walks to very short ones in order to keep me from getting too cold!

Consider getting your pup a coat, I have worn my camouflage one in the past

but Mom has considered getting me more a vest type that will stay put like the picture below

Also, it is important to make sure that your homes are warm enough if you are gone during the day and that we have a safe, warm area to snuggle up in while you're gone

And the best way to keep us warm...snuggle up with us as soon as you get home :)

Happy Sunday!:
Luckily, Dad is home today for President's Day so we will be snuggled up all day
I can't wait!

Stay warm and safe friends!
